Ballroom Dancing

A skill for a Lifetime and the Joy of Your Life…

In regard, to ballroom dance, Nina often says, “It’s easier to do it correctly!” I have been taking lessons from her for over 10 years and she not only knows how to do it correctly, but she also knows how to teach it to you in a simple and concise way. My skills have improved immeasurably due her knowledge and extreme patience. At least for me, nobody does it better!

— F. Scott Mason PE

“Ability and knowledge, generosity in sharing that knowledge, and patience to let me try again and again until I understand what it is that I am learning. Nina will take the time to figure out why I or my partner and I may be having difficulty with particular things. Nina is teaching me to be a better dancer by teaching me proper technique, which really does make it easier and more pleasurable. Nina is truly interested in growing the dance community to share the joy that dancing brings. ”

– Laura Berry

“If I could live there, I would. And believe me, I’ve asked.”

— Milo F.

I have been Ballroom dancing for over Twenty years.  My husband and I started dancing socially. I was immediately fascinated by the movement and feeling dancing gave me!  I was transported and adored it.  I then began to search for Pro Instructors to learn more and have been taking lessons from various Pros on the East Coast including a few lessons with some featured on “Dancing with the Stars”.  I have been very fortunate to learn from the best.

I compete on the Pro Am circuit which is when the student competes with their instructor. I have also competed Amateur which is where two amateurs compete with other amateurs. Great fun and also a great way to improve your dancing skills!

I routinely place with the top finalists and most recently finished first in the Open Gold Standard Categories at the Ohio Star Ball which is the number one Pro Am competition in the United States; an achievement I am proud of!

I enjoy teaching social students too; I love introducing them to “The Ballroom World”.  Ballroom dancing is DEFINATELY a skill everyone should have and you can enjoy all of your life!

I always tell my students learning to do “it” right makes it much easier!  A common comment I get is “ I have two left feet and could never dance”! This is rarely the case, Ballroom is structured and therefore you don’t have to “free style It”!!!

I am skilled in all the dances and teach singles, couples and groups and wedding couples.
